MESSAGE FROM THE CHAPTER POLEMARCH
As we begin our Centennial
Fraternal Year, the Grand Polemarch has made
it
his priority to have Brothers reclaimed
to our Noble Bond. Many of you have
been
out of touch and have expressed a genuine
interest in becoming active
again. My job
is to reach out to as many Brothers as
possible to help you
obtain that goal.
To further our goals and the goals
outlined by our Grand Polemarch, Brother
Dwayne M. Murray, Esq., we need your help.
Brothers who are seeking a
chapter home,
our doors are open for you to fellowship with
us. Below I have
provided a sample of
national initiatives. In future correspondence
I will
provide a calendar of events that
will outline our chapter meetings and
social schedules leading up to next year's
Grand Chapter meeting. Also, at
the chapter
meeting we will provide Grand Chapters and
local annual dues
schedule for you to
review as well.
KAP National Survey
http://www.kappaalphapsi1911.com/survey/kapsurvey.asp
The fraternity is conducting a national
survey. The survey is posted on the
national website's front page. Information
obtained will be utilized to grow
an
authentic voice of the fraternity aligned with
the ideas of our entire
membership. Your
participation is encouraged. Participate so
that your voice
can be heard. Charting the
future of Kappa is a tremendous opportunity
that
belongs to each of us.
Founder's National Wreath Laying Ceremony
As part of the Centennial Celebration, a
Founder's National Wreath Laying
Ceremony
is scheduled to take place
on January 5, 2011 at the gravesites of
each of our Founders. You will be encouraged
by your province to participate
in this
event as a showing of gratitude for the
several things our founders
did for each of
us. If you have personal contact with any
family members of
a founder, please share
that information with International
Headquarters as
we expect to invite members
of each family to participate in the ceremony.
National Founders' Day Celebration:

Another event of the Centennial Celebration
will take place
on January 8,
2011. We are planning
our 6th National Founders' Day Celebration in
Philadelphia, PA. The Northeastern
Province and Philadelphia area chapters
will play host to over 1,911 Kappa men as we
celebrate the
100th Birthday of
Kappa Alpha Psi
Fraternity, Inc. Every Brother in the
fraternity is invited
to attend. At a
minimum each chapter should send a
representative. This is a
historic moment
in Kappa. Be part of its history. Grand
Polemarchs Ronald R.
Young, Howard L.
Tutman, Jr., and Samuel C. Hamilton will be
honored for
their contributions to Kappa
during its first 100 years. During this event
we will present the "trailer",
(advertising/marketing piece) for the 100
Anniversary Movie which outlines the founding
of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
Inc. on the
campus of
Indiana University.
Province
100 Anniversary Historical Museum
As part
of the Centennial Celebration, each province
will have the
opportunity to setup its
display of historical documents, works of art,
memorabilia, photography, etc... during the
80th Grand Chapter Meeting and
Centennial
Celebration. Your Province Polemarch will
share additional
information, establish a
team and appoint its chairman for this
project. We
look forward to learning more
about the rich history of our provinces.
